As mentioned in previous lessons, the music notes on sheet music are named after the first seven letters of the alphabet (A, B, C, D, E, F & G) and endlessly repeat to include the entire range of musical sound. Now that we know the structure of sheet music and the keyboard, it’s time to learn how to read the notes!
The picture below shows the possible notes on a staff in both treble and bass clef and its corresponding letter. As seen below, the letter goes up like the alphabet until it reaches G and then it goes back to A.
