Hi everyone! My name is Kelly and I am a first year media and computer science student. This website, Kel’s Keyboard, is a project for my media aspect of the degree and I decided to make mines about one of my hobbies; playing the piano.

When I was little, I would always find myself looking up piano covers of my favourite songs at the time. The bright, mellow tone of the piano gave me a warmth feeling in my heart and I realised that I wanted to have the ability to play those songs too! From there, I found a teacher and had lessons from when I was 8 years old till 15 years old. Throughout these 7 years, I would say that it was a long journey where I improved on my skills but also many challenges. However, I would say that the journey was well worth it and now I can say that playing the piano is one of my special talents. And yes, although it’s been a while since I’ve had lessons, I’m going to try my best to showcase my skills to you all.
